Terribly sorry for the photo quality, didn't get a chance to take it in the morning and the light in my flat is very bad as it gets later.

Next weeks update will be most likely postponed to a thursday due to the Christmas events planned.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

Till next week....

Summer Extravaganza 2012

Part 8

Yes I am finally back in the blog world and updating my summer extravaganza that has stretched into probably what is to come a fair bit more years, but I should get there in the end.

Having had a lot of health problems and lots of university to deal with I wasn't able to update at all these past couple of months but hopefully getting back to the blog world will encourage me to post my updates frequently however small the progress.

My summer extravaganza project last update was of two page progression. Just to remind you here is what I had in July:

Newt||n's Law

Since on the update streak here goes another design I have started this month. It is the famous newt||n's law ted by Rory Tyger. Very cute and I can't wait to finish this one really, it was a pleasure to stitch, but the back stitching is proving to be a pain since it is a double layer type.

Hopefully  I will finish this one sometime soon...

Summer Extravaganza 2012

Part 5

Here comes Tuesday and with it my update on the summer extravaganza. Looking at Lija's update I am   on a note of seriously starting to fall behind. I have a very small development since last week and will need to pick it up a notch by next week. So here goes:

Summer Extravaganza 2012

Part 3

Terribly sorry for the delay in updating lately, had a very busy week with my sister graduating so had no opportunity to get this up sooner. I am proud to say I finally finished the first a4 page and now on to the next one. With the whole page it is now ok to say that the colours are starting to come together. This next page is quite exciting as it is the start of the hair and not just boring background, which made up most of last page.

Will try to keep on time next time and therefore hopefully till next Tuesday..

Somebunny to Love: Hello Bee!

Finished Bunny

First apologies are in order for not posting the summer extravaganza this week. You will have to wait till next tuesday for an update. Had a tough last week but managed to finish another of my somebunny to love, DMC design. Really enjoyed this one and now its adding to my finished somebunny to love collection.

Somebunny to Love: Hello Bee!

Work in progress

Another beautiful design by DMC collection of Somebunny to Love. This cute design I started two days ago and its the following my obsession of the bunny designs, hoping to finish this some time this week. I count this as a little break from the summer extravaganza and an escape from those harsh colours to something new fresh and light.

Will keep you updated....

Summer Extravaganza 2012

Part 2

Here is a quick update to my summer extravaganza 2012 project, design by Jasmine Becket-Griffith: Sienna Dragonling. For this update I'm only going to post the page development, having not finished the first page of my print outs I think an update on the overall development is not required.

Summer Extravaganza 2012

My first post on the Summer Extravaganza 2012, started on the 1st of June by my sister Lija. Today is the very first development post, as we have agreed to post every Tuesday. My selected design was Sienna Dragonling by Jasmine Becket-Griffith from the collection of Heaven and Earth Designs.

Overall project progress
This must be my very first big scale project, as well as my first time to use the gridding technique. I really enjoy cross stitching this project, I just hope it wont over take all my other projects.

Till next Tuesday...

Somebunny to Love: Eskimo Kiss

before
after
A quick update on my progress with the Eskimo Kiss somebunny to love. I have almost finished unpicking the background and started on the dress. As soon as I fight myself to finish the annoying unpicking it should be finished in no time.

I am going to put it on my list to finish this month.

Toby Fox

Finished Toby Fox

As a break form all my university work I quickly cross stitched this cute design by DMC, from the collection of Woodland Folk. It was an easy quick stitch that I enjoyed greatly, cross stitching and the weather is making me not want to get back to uni stuff. But I guess only one week more and I can start the summer extravaganza with Lija.

My very first TUSAL!!

'TUSAL' may 2012

My very first TUSAL of which I am very proud of. Having recently decided that I am going to empty my little pot every month to see my progression. It will also make a wonderful comparisons of my achievements each month. But having not the heart to throw all this away just yet I am also going to create a bottle where I shall see my progression throughout. Which I will probably post on here every half a year to show how beautifully that is coming along.

Always being a very artistic person I decided that this will be not only fun but will provide me with a decorative bottle that I could proudly display in my living room!

Some more Somebunny to Love

Somebunny to Love: Eskimo Kiss

Design by DMC. Here I have made a terrible mistake having completely forgotten that the background is a half stitch. Awful mistake that now will have to be unpicked.

 Somebunny to Love: Bunny Summer

Another DMC design with a mistake, some of the grass was a half stitch, similarly to the above one will have to be unpicked and redone. Yet it is a lovely design which I have started last year.

These designs are also my work in progress of the collection of Somebunny to Love.

Somebunny to Love: Bouncing Bunny

Another I can proudly present as a finished piece.

Cute design by DMC. Easy to cross stitch, completed this one last year. The first Somebunny to Love that I most certainly fell in love with. This is the piece that started my obsession of Somebunny to Love...

Gold Nuggets

Work in progress...

A delicate design by Kathryn White. Beautiful design proven rather hard due to the dark nature of the fabric. I only dare attempt this one at day time, hence why will most likely take me ages to complete.

Delicate delight

Back stitch needs completion, work in progress.

Red Rose study design by Lesley Teare. Magnificent creation, showing sketch study through cross stitching. A pleasurably light stitch.

Somebunny to Love: Off to explore

Work in progress...

Design by DMC.

Somebunny to Love: Making friends

Still in progress...

Another wonderful design by DMC.

Somebunny to Love: Ballerina Bunny

One of my first finished pieces.

Design by DMC.
